TraumaCheez is a San Francisco punk-rock project led by singer-songwriter Hill Lu. Rooted in punk with the muscle of grunge and the reach of prog, the band fuses East Asain Rock Hill grew up on with the Bay Area's DIY spirit - loud, melodic, and darkly funny. Female-fronted by an energetic, belty vocalist and backed by skillful instrumentalists, TraumaCheez writes songs for outsiders and overthinkers: sharp-tongued, self-aware, and surprisingly emotional under the jokes. Their dynamic live sets and undeniable stage energy have been building a reputation across the local scene.

Sonic references: Paramore, Wolf Alice, The Cranberries, St. Vincent, Muse, Radiohead - alongside the East Asian Rock that shaped Hill's playing: L'Arc‑en‑Ciel, Ellen Loo (盧凱彤), and Faye Wong.

Full-Band Live

TraumaCheez puts up full set (30 minutes to 1 hour) of Full-Band shows. They have been in music venues including Bottom of the Hill, Brick & Mortar, Kilowatt Bar, Thrillhouse Records, El Rio, Hotel Utah, O’Reilly’s Pub, the Lost Church SF, Bazaar Cafe, Winters Tavern (Pacifica), Quarter Note Bar (Sunnyvale) and more.
